One of the Renaissance's greatest artists and thinkers, Leonardo da Vinci was born on April 15, 1452, in Florence, Italy. Besides painting the "Mona Lisa" and "The Last Supper," da Vinci also designed the first parachute.This is one of my ever favorite quotes:
