Mother Teresa : Quotes
"Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier."
“Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”
"Life is an opportunity, benefit from it. Life is beauty,
admire it. Life is a dream, realize it. Life is a challenge,
meet it. Life is a duty, complete it. Life is a game, play it.
Life is a promise, fulfill it. Life is sorrow, overcome it.
Life is a song, sing it. Life is a struggle, accept it. Life
is a tragedy, confront it. Life is an adventure, dare it. Life
is luck, make it. Life is too precious, do not destroy it.
Life is life, fight for it."
“People are often unreasonable and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.
If you are honest, people may cheat you. Be honest anyway.
If you find happiness, people may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough. Give your best anyway.
For you see, in the end, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.”
“Peace begins with a smile..”
“I am not sure exactly what heaven will be like, but I know that when we die and it comes time for God to judge us, he will not ask, 'How many good things have you done in your life?' rather he will ask, 'How much love did you put into what you did?”
“What can you do to promote world peace? Go home and love your family.”
“Prayer is not asking. Prayer is putting oneself in the hands of God, at His disposition, and listening to His voice in the depth of our hearts.”
“I can do things you cannot, you can do things I cannot; together we can do great things.”
The greatest destroyer of peace is abortion because if a mother can kill her own child, what is left for me to kill you and you to kill me? There is nothing between.
HOW BEAUTIFUL IS........... HER WORDS & LIFE!!

Guide to a Better Life - Randy Pausch
Randolph Frederick "Randy" Pausch (October 23, 1960 – July 25, 2008) was an American professor of computer science and human-computer interaction and design. Pausch died of pancreatic cancer in 2008. Before then, he wrote a book ‘The last lecture’, one of the bestsellers in 2007. In a letter to his wife and children, he wrote this beautiful "guide to a better life" for his wife and children to follow. He is survived by his wife, Jai, and their three children, Dylan, Logan, and Chloe.
May you be blessed by his insight.
POINTS ON HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR LIFE
Personality:
Don't compare your life to others'. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
2. Don't have negative thoughts of things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment
3. Don't over do; keep your limits
4. Don't take yourself so seriously; no one else does
5. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip
6. Dream more while you are awake
7. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need..
8. Forget issues of the past. Don't remind your partner of his/her mistakes of the past. That will ruin your present happiness.
9. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Don't hate others.
10. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present
11. No one is in charge of your happiness except you
12. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn.
Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.
13. Smile and laugh more
14. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
Community:
Your job will not take care of you when you are sick. Your family and friends will. Stay in touch.
16. Call your family often
17. Each day give something good to others
18. Forgive everyone for everything
19. Spend time with people over the age of 70 & under the age of 6
20. Try to make at least three people smile each day
21. What other people think of you is none of your business
Life:
Put GOD first in anything and everything that you think, say and do.
23. GOD heals everything
24. Do the right things
25. However good or bad a situation is, it will change
26. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up
27. The best is yet to come
28. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful
29. When you awake alive in the morning, thank GOD for it
30. If you know GOD you will always be happy. So, be happy.
While you practice all of the above, share this knowledge with the people you love, people you school with, people you play with, people you work with and people you live with...Not only will it enrich YOUR life, but also that of those around you.

And that's why...
First God created the ox, and He said to the ox, "Today I have created you! As a beast of burden, this is what you will do. You will go to the field with the farmer all day long. You will work all day under the sun, pulling the plow or hauling wagons! And to do this, I will give you a life span of 50 years."
The ox objected. "What, you want me to live that kind of life for 50 years? Let me have 20 years, that'll be plenty of work, and I'll give 30 years back to you." So God agreed.
Then God created the dog, and He said to the dog, "Okay, dog. What you're going to do is sit all day at the door of your house, and guard the door. Any people that walk by, or try to come in, bark at them. I'll give you a lifespan of 20 years for this!"
And the dog objected. "What? All day long I have to sit by the door? No way! Just give me ten years. I'll give you back the other ten!" So God agreed.
Then God created the monkey, and He said to the monkey, "A monkey has to be entertaining. You get to make everybody laugh and do tricks. And I'll give you 30 years of life to do this."
And the monkey objected, too. "What, Make people laugh? Monkey tricks? Twenty years will do for that, and the other 10 years, I am giving back to you." God agreed.
Then God created Man. He said to the Man, "Your job is to sleep, eat, and play. You will enjoy many things in your life. You're my special creation, and all you have to do is be good and enjoy your life. For this kind of life, I'll give you a 20 years lifespan."
The man objected, too. "What, God? Such a good life? Eat, play, sleep, do nothing? Enjoy the best and you expect me to live for only 20 years? Why don't we make a deal? Since the cow gave you back 30 years, the dog gave you back 10 years and the monkey gave you back 10 years, I will take those years! That will make my lifespan 70 years, right?" So God agreed.
And that's why...
For our first 20 years, we eat, sleep, play, enjoy life and do nothing much. For the next 30 years, we work all day long. For the next 10 years, we entertain our grandchildren by making monkey faces and doing tricks. And for the last 10 years, we stay at home, sit in front of the door and bark at people!
This is a funny story on overvaulting ambitions of man I read this night. Found funny to share with!!! :o

Don'tSettele!!! [Steve Jobs -Stanford commencement speech, June 2005]
Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don’t settle.

Stress...............................? Laugh More, Stress Less!
Stress is not what happens to us. It's our response TO what happens. And RESPONSE is something we can choose.- Maureen Killoran
READ THIS Small Story (I got it from a friend of mine)
A lecturer, when explaining stress management to an audience, raised a glass of water and asked, "how heavy is this glass of water?"
Answers called out ranged from 8oz. to 20oz. The lecturer replied, "The absolute weight doesn't matter. It depends on how long you try to hold it. If I hold it for a minute, that's not a problem. If I hold it for an hour, I'll have an ache in my right arm. If I hold it for a day, you'll have to call an ambulance.
In each case, it's the same weight, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes." He continued, "And that's the way it is with stress management. If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later, as the burden becomes increasingly heavy, we won't be able to carry on."
So whatever burdens you're carrying now, let them down for a moment if you can. Relax; pick them up later after you've rested. Life is short. Enjoy it!

When you find yourself stressed, ask yourself one question: Will this matter in 5 years from now? If yes, then do something about the situation. If no, then let it go!

BIG Dreams Win……Great People Talk! Successful People Prove! Live to IT!
“Dream, Dream, Dream! Dreams transform into thoughts. And thoughts result in action” Even before I read this big success formula in APJ Abdul Kalam’s TheWings of Fire, I was on the way! The dreams I had were slowly transforming into thoughts..but!
Having big dreams is really great -people say! Great people talk about it! Successful people prove it! But why why why???? I asked a hundred times. Why do I lose everywhere? Why do I confront failures?? I was upset for a long time but at last I decided ‘I must go out of it’.
Do you think I started to think in a different way then on? Yehh! I decided to learn something more from people.
See it Here: I found a host of people who were fallen into slough before they could reach what they had been trying to attain.
Henry Ford: I read about him he even forgot to set reverse gear in the first car he made! After five unsuccessful attempts, he started the Ford Motor Company in 1903 and the rest is history!
Abraham Lincoln: Failed in business (age 21); defeated in a legislative race (age 22); failed again in business (age 24); death of his sweetheart (age 26); lost congressional race (age 34) and senatorial race (age 45); failed in an effort to become vice-president (age 47); lost again in a senatorial race (age 49); but ultimately he won. He was elected as the president of the US at age 52. So take failures as detour! Not an end to everything!
Soichiro Honda: He was rejected by Toyota Motor Corporation in a job interview! He there after established the Honda Motor Co. Now look at the company’s brand message. We see it is written “The Power of Dreams”. (Do you have a great dream??? Go and Work on It! ;-) I compare my dream & my efforts to an artist who tries to bring a classic sculpture! So sometimes it may take time! But sure if you have an unyielding mind you will see the colour of success!
Bill Gates: You know this emperor & his empire!
And here comes a long list of famous people who failed initially, which includes Walt Disney, Albert Einstein, Isaac Newton, Socrates, Orville and Wilbur Wright, Winston Churchill, Charlie Chaplin, Marilyn Monroe, Steven Spielberg, J. K. Rowling, Ludwig van Beethoven etc.
What I learned Sometimes it may help you too: Now I understand my whys? Whats? Hows? and Wheres? With a CooL MIND, I learned Patience, Plans…hhahaahah…what not is there??? To win we need everything...!
Try to acquire what all you can. Never waste you time over trifle thoughts like how and what a good man should be. Instead just ‘be a good man’. Take steps cautiously. Never worry when fail.
Just Fail, fail, fail, fail…. But decide eventually you will WIN. This is all what I learned! Success never means absence of failures and it doesn’t mean that successful people never get disappointed or always kept worries aside when they lost. I believe it is natural and a must for next walks. In fact our worries, doubts and unfailing mind can go further and make another attempt. So keep on moving! Live To our Dream!

Leonardo da Vinci
One of the Renaissance's greatest artists and thinkers, Leonardo da Vinci was born on April 15, 1452, in Florence, Italy. Besides painting the "Mona Lisa" and "The Last Supper," da Vinci also designed the first parachute.
This is one of my ever favorite quotes:
"I love those who can smile in trouble, who can gather strength from distress, and grow brave by reflection. 'Tis the business of little minds to shrink, but they whose heart is firm, and whose conscience approves their conduct, will pursue their principles unto death."

Hard to let old beliefs go???
It is hard to let old beliefs go. They are familiar. We are
comfortable with them and have spent years building systems
and developing habits that depend on them. Like a man who has
worn eyeglasses so long that he forgets he has them on, we
forget that the world looks to us the way it does because we
have become used to seeing it that way through a particular
set of lenses. Today, however, we need new lenses. And we need
to throw the old ones away.

Selfishness made us Fail to Live up to the Ideals of Humanism
Let it never be said by future generations that indifference, cynicism or selfishness made us fail to live up to the ideals of humanism which the Nobel Peace Prize encapsulates. Let the strivings of us all prove Martin Luther King Jr. to have been correct when he said that humanity can no longer be tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism and war
